Hi guys I'm new here and I'm going insane trying to find a job that isn't a scam and doesn't require a degree. I'm a South African female and I am completing my BEd degree (it's four years), I do have my Tesol certificates but it seems that no one wants to hire someone without a degree. I am passionate about teaching, I suppose I enjoy it and that's what fuels my passion. Anyway is there any advice that anyone could provide for me?

Thanks a stack

Because this area pays the most money, they are much more picky about who they hire.
Generally, it takes a BA degree (in English) and a certificate (Trinity or CELTA) to teach. Both would be ideal, but they often settle for one or the other....

A Masters degree is more ideal for universities and it's possible to have an MA in Econ. or some other degree and teach English....

Ideally, the instructor would have an MA in English, ESL, Applied Ling. and a CELTA certificate. Those are hard to find.
