I am leaving for China in a few days and I wish to take my Fender Guitar Amplifier with me. I live in Australia which runs 240 volts and the Amp has a 3 PIN Power Socket with 1 Pin as an earth.
Can someone please let me know what configeration are the Electrical Wall Sockets in China ?
I know China runs 220 volts. I can buy a Converter in Australia for China, but they only convert to 2 Pin and from what I can tell, 2 Pin converter has no Earth and my Amplifier needs an Earth.
Many Thanks Robert |

you can buy an extension cord when you get to China it has all the kinds of pin holes you will need. I am from Canda and my stuff worked with an extension cord ofcourse it wasn't Canadian voltage. China to my mind has a good electric system, unlike India and Georgia where I have also lived.
Good luck you won't have any trouble and you won't need a transformer either, my iron and hair dryer with 220 volts worked fine. |
