I have read confliciting stories that taxes, health insurance etc are prohibitive in Berlin and it is nigh on impossible to save there. On the other hand, i have read that one can earn a decent wage there. I know that the tax rate is between 28-50% (I think), but where would a TEFL techer fall on this scale?

Also, what are the employment prospects like in Berlin / Germany?? Any thoughts, advice?
