| Does anyone have any input in working in the Netherlands as an American with a USA passport? I was just thinking about small private schools or private teaching. I don't have a degree, and wonder if there are alot of small schools or private teachings going on that are not concerned with degrees but are instead just looking for native speakers is all? Thanks |

Hi there,
I've just spent 3 years working inthe Netherlands, although, in an unrelated field. Unfortunately for you I think it would be near on impossible for you to find any English teaching work, for a few reasons:
1. On the whole, the Dutch speak impeccable English.
2. They want new immigrants to speak Dutch, not English... I guess this is fairly obvious.
3. They always give any jobs to native Dutch over foreigners.
I hear there is a lot of cash work in Northern Spain though.
Good luck! |
