Hello,
I plan to come to France to look for a Job in January next year. I have heard that the best times for finding English teaching work are in France are in October and January. Is my information correct? Is January a good time to find work? Also, when should I arrive to start hitting the streets, in late December or mid January? Can you suggest the best time for me to come.
Thankyou
Paul De Sousa Roque

Hi Paul,

Alot of your question is going to depend on the type of job you are looking to get and how you go about getting it. As far as jobs for a qualified teachers they are always positions...it's just a matter of finding them.

The beginning of the year is usually a good time find second semester work...around the end of January or early February. You'll want to begin your search before that though...in fact the early you begin looking the more likely you will be to find these mid year openings.

Also...there is the eternal fall-back...private lessons...if worse comes to worse look into doing privates while you get settled in.

Vie de France Paul! Che Che Frances!
