Very Happy Good morning! I am looking into a Student Affairs position at Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi, and am looking for your comments and experiences with the school. There is a second position in Student Affairs at Zayed University that I am exploring. Would sure appreciate your comments.

I work with students with disabilities, but have experience in residence life, admissions, and financial aid as well.

Thank you.

Sue

Sue,

I would assume being a female that you are ready for some pretty harsh living conditions. I've heard the middle east can be profitiable but hard....and lonely for women.

Anyway good luck to you for helping kids with disabilities...that's a good thing.

You might want to try the King Fahed program in Abu Dhabi, you can probably find it doing some web searches, I don't know the address myself. My point is, they run all-woman training programs and classes, and constantly need English teachers, so that might be a place you could get in and ease the difficult conditiosn in the Middle East, brought on mainly by mail chauvenism. You know, the kind that comes with the post man Wink Of course I meant "male" chauvenism. You may also want to try Princenton Review if you teach TOEFL in the region, also good, but you have to look them up.

Dubai is also a great place in terms of living conditions, up and coming, nothing like Saudi, and the money is equally as good.
