I was offered a job in Cameroon at the National School of Linguistics. I was offered the job thru a recruiter called English 4 All e4a.inc. I was told in order to have a work visa, I needed to put a deposit down on an apt. 1700 USD. I was wary. I grilled and grilled them. As of ten hours ago the website to the school was operational. Now it takes me to a domain and website builder page. It is a scam. Whether or not English 4 All is part of the scam, I don't know. Just know that this one was. Wanted to let my fellow ESL folks know.

Hello Teachme74

I had contacted the British Council in Cameroon about NSL and this was their reply, which confirms that it is a scam

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please note that the British Council in Cameroon has never heard of an institution called “The National School Linguistics” in Yaounde. We have tried to call the phone number from your email, but this number does not even exist.

We therefore suggest that you should not send any personal information or documentation to them.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further queries.

Best,

Greetings:

I have a website that offers free grammar worksheets. The website gets hits from all over the world, including Asia. But there are scant few visits from Africa, especially areas outside of South Africa.

How is internet access in West Africa? Do ESL teachers and students have access at schools and at home?

Jose
