I know this has been addressed before - everyone usually says "in the middle of the month" - but when exactly is this. Is it a fixed day (like the 14th of every month) or something like that? This is for those who are working through institutes, btw. _________________ -Abibaba_

Many Mexican employers pay on the same day...the 1st and the 15th. The system is known as quincena refering to a 15 day period. Not everyone follows this sytem though. _________________

In Spain you usually get paid once a month!
Thats a big change from the bi-monthly pay periods in Canada. Somehow I usually ended up with more month at the end of my pay!

From the sounds of it (or the looks of it because this is written), you are not currently teaching and are thinking of it. As you can see from previous responses, different countries have different times and modes of payment.
If you see a job you like and apply, once you receive a reply, if your prospective employer does not tell you when they pay (and most of them should), then you can simply ask as part of the negotiation process.
I have worked in Mexico for two different employers and they pay twice a month: on the fifteenth and the thirtieth or the last day of the month.
Trust this helps you! |
