There really is too much to say about this school to put into a single forum post-basic advice DO NOT WORK THERE. This school year has seen around 25 new foreign teachers, 2 dropped out after only 1 day, and a further 6 have left over the course of the year. A further 2 staff members tried to leave, but as is common procedure at (name removed), were told if they tried to leave the school would make it "very difficult" for them. It is possibly the worst school I have ever worked in. Around 30 foreign teachers (almost all of the workforce) are leaving at the end of their contracts this summer.

Reasons it is a bad school...
Blatant lies from the initial interview such as it being an IB school, or that there are opportunities for professional development
Constantly threatening and bullying Western staff
It's not even an accredited international school although they use this in their school name, and the only international students are children of foreign staff members.
If you have a problem and speak to senior staff, they will either move you to another part of the school (this happened with two members of staff this year) or they will lie to you about actions they will take, just so you don't quit.
Not communicating any important information to foreign teachers, meaning we find out everything second hand, or too late
Taking millions of RMB off Chinese parents under the pretence of offering a "western education" but actually having no curriculum or teaching materials and expecting foreign, inexperienced or unqualified staff to make it up. The majority of children in this school can't even speak basic English, even in the high school.

AVOID at all costs.
