This is about $3,000 per month, but don't forget this is the gross pay. If you are from America, Canada, or the UK, you will be taxed twice and net about $2,000 a month. Of course, some regions and employers pay more, but you really need to read this https://www.scam.com/showthread.php?715324-Real-salaries-pay-wages-and-earnings-hidden-from-China-ESL-amp-TEFL-Teacher-job-applicant

Korea, Japan,Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore pay more than double and even triple but the cost of living is also higher. But everyone is not trying to cheat and skim you in Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, or Hong Kong.

Don't be misled or low-balled by the agents. They are disinformation specialists and will even try to convince you that 7,000 a month is "normal" salary in China. That is truly excrement pay unless you come from Nigeria. Native English speakers do not earn less than 20,000 a month unless they are really dumb and gullible.

Hi Okay

Thanks for using the forum.

A UK citizen does not have to pay tax on foreign income when they are living and working abroad, if their permanent home ('domicile') is abroad or indeed if they are not normally resident in the U.K. (They spend less than 90 days per year in the UK)

Cheers

UJ
