Hi everyone!
I've been talking with some of my ESL teaching friends recently about our preferences for teaching and surprisingly, our preferences varied quite a bit. If you have the time, take this poll and let us know what your preferences are. If you have a little more time, it'd also be great to hear if you are experienced or not, qualified or not, and if you're experienced or not.
Cheers,
Carol
P.S. Please note that absolute beginners are students who have never studied English before, whereas false beginners are students who have studied English before, but either forgot what they learned or never progressed very far in the first place. _________________ Carol Rueckert

I most definitely prefer advanced learners. Classes are far less rigid and can tangent in many different directions off interesting topics.
I find beginner classes boring...one tends to cover the same ground over and over with each new group. _________________

My preference is Business English because I relate to the needs of the commercial world. I was in business most of my working life, and I find my experience very useful in a developing country (China).
I have private classes as well as employed work, and I enjoy the private classes the most, because people are paying top money, so they actually want to listen, and learn!
