I'm interested to see if anyone has any stories about misbehaving adult students. It's natural for children to misbehave but has anyone had any experiences of adults mibehaving? What did you do about the situation? _________________ spoken English tips |

I've had a few adult students who regularly came to class drunk. That's about as bad as it gets.
When it happens it's the usual bad-drunk behaviour, hitting on young girls, saying way too personal stuff, no sense of their own volume etc... _________________ マンツーマン 英会話 神戸 三宮 リアライズ - James |

There are plenty of corrective measures that a teacher can take to deal with misbehaving kids. But Alas, nothing much can be done for misbehaving adults. You can take the matter to the management and get them expelled! |

It's the first I've heard for drunk adults! All of my lessons are online so maybe it's harder for me to tell (without the smell!) |

Well, it depends on the level of misbehaviour. If they can still be disciplined, then I致e thrown them out (not literally) of the class. If they can稚 or won稚 be disciplined then I have sent for security, to have them frogmarched off the premises.
I remember one time, I had handed out, to each student, a complete set of drawing instruments, including an eraser and pencil. The next day, one of the students borrowed an eraser from another student and when asked where his was, he said he took it home and gave it to his brother. He was told to bring it back, otherwise he would not get another. He didn稚 bring it back and I didn稚 give him a replacement. I had nothing but trouble from that student for the remainder of the year. However, with two weeks to go before the end of the course, I gave in and gave him an eraser. What a difference in his behaviour; he was the best student for the remainder of the course. I often wished I had given him an eraser at the beginning, instead of sticking to my principles; how much easier it would have been... |
