Hello everyone Greetings from China! We are finally back in the classrooms teaching our great but spoiled students and I am getting a lot of emails asking me what it is like teaching here in China. I am going on my fifth year now and I have learned a lot and and making more money now than every before mostly because of the closed borders.https://opnlttr.com/letter/pandemics-border-closures-provide-silver-lining-dark-cloud-boosting-salaries-60000-world-wide

But I also learned to work only for schools that are registered with both SAFEA and SAIC so I never have to worry about getting deported. Visit https://ruqqus.com/+TeachinChina or https://ruqqus.com/+ChinaTefl to understand why this is so important

The lifestyle here is more laid back, especially since we are now back to normal after 5 months of lock-down and on-line Zoom teaching. This week-end my partner and I went camping and trout fishing in Huairou and had a great time. China is a fun place so long as you do not expect it to be "like back home". The culture here is completely different - not better or worse - just different. If you can adapt and be friendly China is great addition to your resume. I suggest you give it a go, but first read this so you don't make any dumb mistakes that will end up costing you money, one way or another. https://ruqqus.com/post/41vy/important-before-you-even-send-your

You may have to wait until the new year for the borders to open, but once you get here, send me a message and I will help get you settled in (if you come to Beijing)

WELCOME TO CHINA!
