I'm currently planning to try online teaching for the first time. As I'm 60, with no degree and very little experience, this seems like a good option.
I was offered online work, last year but the pay was so low that it didn't seem worth the cost. Now I've found an agency which pay a bit more and I'm thinking about applying to them. I've got to wait until I've saved enough to buy a new laptop and get a stronger connection so I'm just at the getting information stage.
If anyone in a similar situation has tried this or knows anyone who has, I'd like to get their advice. Would I be better off to go self-employed? If I go it alone, how do I start and should I do a specific course for online teaching? What are the main differences between teaching in person and online? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Naomi,
Have you considered upwork? Also, here's a great article:

Oh, that sounds interesting. I also thought about developing some interesting application or even creating a game.
