|
|
There are no international certification standards for TEFL courses. This means anyone with half a brain, a website, and some English skills can start an online TEFL course and make some fast cash. They lie to sell their course and will even tell you that you MUST have one of their certificates to teach in China. Anyway, if you don't want to waste your money to get a TEFL certificate that is not even recognized in major countries, you should take 30 minutes of your life and research this subject at https://www.docdroid.net/kRwv0oN/ctablacklist2020-pdf and while you are there take note of the 2020-2021 China MANDATORY teaching requirements on page 3.
No, we are not in the TEFL business. We are in the due diligence and investigations business in China going back to 2008. You are willing to visit our website at https://chinascampatrol.wordpress.com

|

Guys this has been a problem for rge last 10 years but with recent discovery of the fake reviews, the China Teachers Alliance and China Foreign Teachers Union studied the problems based on the reports of three scam investigations (China Scam Watch, China Scam Patrol, and TEFL Teachers Association). You can read the reports at https://reddit.com/r/ChinaTeachers, https://ruqqus.com/+TeachInChina and https://reddit.com/r/tefl_tips_traps_scams.
But basically they advise against taking any online course that is not given DIRECTLY by an accredited University that is will to provide resumes of the instructors. They all agree that the best TEFL courses are those given in a real classroom setting by an accredited University like Cambridge, Oxford, Trinity, Ohio State, University of Toronto, Beijing Normal University, etc. The China Teachers Alliance which represents most Chinese teachers is now compiling a blacklist of fraudulent TEFL courses since they cannot be named in most TEFL forums. They will post the list by Dec. 1st, 2020 at
https://ruqqus.com/+CTA and https://reddit.com/r/chinascampatrol. Finally some progress is being made. _________________ Before going to teach in China I suggest you read up at https://reddit.com/r/chinascamcentral |

Since it is so hard to find a decent and legitimate TEFL course these days in 2021, I follow the advice of the China Teachers Alliance:https://www.docdroid.net/kRwv0oN/ctablacklist2020-pdf How do the rest of you pick your TEFL course?
Here is why I stopped believing the company's websites and on-site testimonials and ratings. This video was a wake-up call for me. Thank god for the CTA and China Scam Patrol! https://youtu.be/3y0pYUdfGiw |

Hey Whisper! Someone corrupted/hacked your link, but here is where it is permanently posted. https://reddit.com/r/tefl_tips_traps_scams I can easily understand why they did not want TEFL teachers to have this information. _________________ To learn about all the TEFL and ESL scam artists that target YOU visit https://reddit.com/r/TEFLScams |
